Laszlo Czirjak Advisory Board Member

Laszlo Czirjak is a U.S.-born citizen holding dual U.S. and Hungarian citizenship. His investment and transactional experience includes deals in the information technology industry, specifically software and service businesses, oil & gas, telecommunications and media and niche manufacturing companies among other more traditional industries. Mr. Czirjak is a co-founder of i-Europe, a leading Central European private equity fund. Prior to i-Europe, he was a Managing Director at Bankers Trust Company/BT Alex Brown in the London Investment Bank with shared responsibility for Central Eastern Europe. There he initiated and executed assignments in structured and corporate finance, risk management (derivatives), and trading as well as in mergers and acquisitions advisory (M&A) and private equity. Earlier in his career in New York, Mr. Czirjak served as a Director at the Bridgeford Group and at IBJ Schroder Bank, U.S. investment banking subsidiaries of the Industrial Bank of Japan. He has also held positions at Goldman Sachs (in both M&A & Project Finance Groups) and in operations management at Chemical Bank. Mr. Czirjak is a former member of the Board of Directors of MOL Rt., the Hungarian Oil and Gas Company that is publicly traded on several European exchanges. He also served as the Chairman of the Audit Committee on MOL’s Board. He is a former President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary and still active as Chairman of its Corporate Governance Committee. He received a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, both with honors, from Columbia University in New York.
